Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 6 drops red food coloring
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in microwave. Place sugar and egg in mixer. Beat until uniform. Add mint extract, salt and candy. Mix it all up. Add food coloring. Mix thoroughly. Add butter. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake in 9x13 pan at 350F for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with 2 cups chocolate chips. Cover with tin foil for 3 min. Spread chips like frosting. Sprinkle with more candy canes. Cool completely.
