Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. chicken Stovetop stuffing mix
  • 1 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion tops
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mushroom soup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Combine stuffing, butter and broth. Mix according to Stovetop package directions, but using above quantities. Place half in 12x8 or 9x13 casserole. Combine chicken, onions,celery, onion tops, mayo and salt; put on top of stuffing in casserole. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. One hour before baking cover with cream of mushroom soup and spread evenly.
2Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 10 minutes more.
