Ingredients
- 12 prepared frozen mini tart shells
- Strawberry, raspberry, or apricot jam
- Fresh berries and fruit
- Whipped Cream
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350'. Place 1/2 teaspoon of jam in each tart shell. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes. The shells are precooked so they don't need much time. When jam starts to bubble, remove and let cool. Top with 3 or 4 berries and whipped cream just before serving. Add a berry on top for garnish.
Here are some additional variations:
Lemon Tartlets: Fill cooled, baked shells with lemon curd and top with whipped cream. Garnish with a raspberry and mint sprig.
Chocolate Tartlets: Fill cooled, baked shells with chocolate mousse or pudding. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or nonpareils.
Brie Cheese Appetizer: Place a small slice of Brie cheese in the bottom of each shell before baking. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with chutney. Garnish with a pecan half.
