Pie Crust

This is the best and easiest pie crust recipe. I love it and to be honest it has not failed me yet! It is also great frozen.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 Tbsp. butter, cubed
  • 6 Tbsp shortening
  • 5-6 Tbsp ice water, as needed

Preparation

Step 1

Pulse in a cuisenart food processor the flour, sugar and salt. Add the cubed butter and broken up shortening and pulse several times. Add ice water and pulse just till dough stays together.

Break in half. Roll dough out to fit a 9 inch pan. Put into pan. Roll the other crust and put into pan. Can freeze the extra pie crust for a future recipe.
