Key Lime Pie
- 1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 T sugar
- 5 T unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cups fresh key lime juice
- 1/2 T key lime zest
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 T 10X sugar
Combine ingredients for crust and press into a 9 inch pie plate. Bake pie crust at 350 degrees for 10 min. or until lightly browned. Remove and let cool.
In large bowl, combine condensed milk and egg yolks, mixing well. Slowly add key lime juice and zest, mixing until fully incorporated. Pour into crust and place in over at 325 for 15 min. Remove from oven and let cool, then refrigerate until serving; always serve cold.
Whip cream with sugar until nearly stiff. Serve a dollop on each slice.
