Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 lb chicken livers
  • 3 oz brandy
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 bay leaves
  • a dash of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • a dash of cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 hard boiled egg

Preparation

Step 1

Cook onion in a little butter, then add and melt the rest of the butter. Add livers and saute for 5 mins, add brandy and flame. Bring to a boil and remove from stove. Add spices and garlic and simmer for 5 mins.

Remove from heat, cover tightly and let 15-20 mina. Pour into a blender or food processor, removing the bay leaves. Add boiled egg and cream chees3e and blend at high speed until smooth. Mold and refrigerate.

It freezes well.
