Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks)butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups sold-pack pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350'. Spray 13 X 9 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, salt and baking soda in medium bowl. Beat brown sugar and butter in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed 3 minutes or until well blended. Beat in egg until blended. Beat in pumpkin and vanilla. (mixture may look curdled.) Gradually add flour mixture, eating at low speed just until blended. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.

Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Cutout pumpkin and leaf shapes with 2 to 3 inch cookie cutters. Place melted chocolate in pastry bag or small resealable food storage bag with small corner cut off. Pipe veins on leaves and lines on pumpkins with chocolate.
