Cedar Plank Salmon with Maple Ginger Glaze

Ingredients
- 1 salmon filet (3-4 lb), skin removed
- Grilling plank (tasty timber brand)
- 1 bunch whole green onions
- 1/4 c lemon juice
- 1/2 c maple syrup
- 1/3 c dark soy sauce
- 1 t chopped garlic
- 1 t chopped ginger

Step 1
Glaze: combine syrup, lemon juice, soy, ginger & garlic in pan over med heat, reduce by 1/2. Place bunch of whole green onions (trimmed) as bed for salmon filet on pre-soaked cedar plank. Place salmon on top of onions. Place plank on med high covered gas or charcoal grill.
Baste with glaze staring after 10 min on grill, then 2 more times while it cooks. Grill for about 25 min until it reaches 140 internal temperature. Remove from grill & baste one more time. Serve salmon on plank on table on trivet to keep warm while serving.
Try salmon on top of Yukon Gold mustard mashed potatoes. (Add 1 T stone ground mustard to potatoes when mashing.)
