Ingredients

    c all bran

  • 2

    c shredded wheat, ( 4 biscuits ) crushed

  • 1/2

    c boiling water

  • 1

    c butter

  • 2 1/2

    c sugar

  • 4

    eggs

  • 1/4

    t salt

  • 4 1/2

    b soda

  • 1/2

    t b powder

  • 1

    qt buttermilk

  • 5

    c flour

Directions

Put the all bran and shredded wheat crushed, into a bowl. Add the boiling water and set aside. In a large bowl, cream the rest of the ingredients. Place in a well greased muffin tins. Can keep batter in the refrig for a good month. If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding about a T of vinegar to the milk and let set for a few min. I ususally only make half a batch, as it makes about 18 muffins. Spray pan well. Bake 350. 15-18 min
