Amish Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 3/4 cups quick-cooking oats

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat egg. Add rest of ingredients except oats and mix thoroughly until well combined. Add oats and stir. Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes

Eat it plain or in a bowl with some cold milk. Tastes like home
