French Onion Soup
- 4 T butter
- 1 c dry wine
- French bread
- 8 oz swiss cheese
- 5 c sliced onions
- 6 c beef broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- If you use the dry broth, bouilons use 10 pkg and 6 c hot water
Melt butter and saute' onions, about 20 min.
Stir frequently. Add broth, wine and cook 20 min more. Add salt and pepper.
Slice bread and toast. Pour soup in a bowl and place a slice of toasted bread on the soup then a slice of cheese. You can bake it in the oven or put it in the microwave,til the cheese is melted and bubbly
