Oatmeal Chip Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 3/4 cups of boiling water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, butterscotch chips or
  • Peanut butter
  • 1 cup of walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Grease a 9x13" pan, then flour.

In a bowl, mix oats and margarine, then pour in the boilde water and let stand for 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and brown sugar, flour, baking soda and salt.
Then add 1/2 of the chips of your choice, along with walnuts. Pour in the greased and floured pan and sprinkle the remaining chips and nuts on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
