Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef filet, sliced into 1/2" strips
- 6 T butter
- 1 C onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced 1/4" thick
- 3 t flour
- 2 t meat extract paste
- 1 t ketchup
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/8 t pepper
- 1 10.5 oz can consomme (or 2 undiluted bouillion cubes)
- 1/4 C dry white wine
- 1/4 t dill weed
- 1 1/2 C sour cream

Step 1
Brown beef in fat trimmings, keeping inside rare. Remove beef from pan.
Cook onion, garlic and mushrooms in butter 5 minutes on low heat. Add flour, meat past, ketchup, salt, pepper and consomme/bouillion to make a gravy. Simmer for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Add sour cream wine and dill. Stir well. Add beef just to reheat.
Serve over rice or noodles.
