  • 1 cup whole cranberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp Cointreau
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Simmer cranberries, brown sugar, and water over medium heat about 10 minutes (cranberry skins should pop open lightly).

Add remaining ingredients. Let flavors meld at room temperature for 15 minutes. Refrigerate. Good with pancakes, seafood.
