Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chopped onions
- Chicken pieces for 4
- Seasoned flour
- 3 cups boiling water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- a dash pepper
- 1 small bay leaf
- 2 sprigs parsley
Preparation
Step 1
Heat skillet on medium heat.
In 3 Tablespoons fat, brown 3 Tablespoons flour, in cup chopped onions and the chicken pieces which have been dredged in seasoned flour.
Add 3 cups boiling water, 1 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper, bay leaf, and parsley. Cover. Reduce heat to simmer until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.

1 cup Original Bisquick mix
1/3 cup milk
Paprika, if desired
Stir Bisquick mix and 1/3 cup milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 8 spoonfuls onto chicken mixture (do not drop directly into liquid). Sprinkle with paprika. Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longe
