Ingredients
- 7 slices bacon
- 4 oz Gruyere cheese, grated
- 8/9 " baked pie shell
- 3 lg eggs
- 7/8 c crean
- 2 T milk
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Cook bacon until crisp. Drain and pat w/ paper towel. Cut in 4 equal pieces. Evenly distribute bacon then cheese over crust. Set aside.
Beat eggs thoroughly, add cream & milk; combine. If using nutmeg, add now. Pour over cheese, carefully put in oven. Bake at 350° for 30-40 mn. Quiche should puff and brown & be set in middle
