Apple Compote for Waffles

  • 2 apples (1 green and 1 red)
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  • splash of vanilla

Cooking time 10mins


Step 1

Cut apples (with skin on) into bite-sized chunks.

Mix water, brown sugar and apples in a small sauce pan - adjusting proportions based on desired consistency.

Add vanilla

Stir on stove for 3 minutes, cover for 3-4 minutes for apples to softern, remove the lid for 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
