Creamy Fettucine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 box (1 lb.) fettuccine
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 c. shredded fresh basil

Preparation

Step 1

Place butter in a large bowl. Using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer set a low speed, beat until smooth. Add cream and Parmesan. Stir until blended. Set aside. Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions. Drain pasta well. Add hot pasta to bowl with cream mixture. Using two forks, toss pasta to coat with sauce. Add salt and pepper. Divide pasta among 4 serving plates. Sprinkle with basil. Serve.
