Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Oil, coconut oil to keep it Paleo
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef, grass fed to keep it Paleo
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce OR 15oz homemade tomato puree
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, raw vinegar to keep it Paleo
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat the oil in a stockpot. Add the onion and cook 2 minted over medium heat.

2. Add the ground beef, garlic and chili powder and cook until the meat is browned and no longer pink.

3. Add the remaining ingredients, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours.

4. Serve as is or over any item of your liking (spaghetti squash, pasta, rice, etc)
