Ingredients
- Basic Recipe:
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1-1/2 teaspoons chia seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange:
- 1 tablespoon orange marmalade spreadable fruit
- 1/3 cup mandarin orange segments, chopped
- Banana Cocoa (or Peanut Butter):
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (or Peanut Butter or PB2)
- 1 teaspoon honey, optional (or substitute any preferred sweetener)
- 1/4 cup diced ripe banana, or enough to fill jar (approx. half of a small banana)
- Raspberry-Vanilla:
- 1 tablespoon raspberry preserves
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup raspberries
Preparation
Step 1
In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the milk, oats, yogurt, marmalade, chia seeds and vanilla. Cover and shake to combine. Stir in optional ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Yield: 1 serving.
