Overnight, No-cook Oatmeal with Chia

Ingredients

  • Basic Recipe:
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Orange:
  • 1 tablespoon orange marmalade spreadable fruit
  • 1/3 cup mandarin orange segments, chopped
  • Banana Cocoa (or Peanut Butter):
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (or Peanut Butter or PB2)
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional (or substitute any preferred sweetener)
  • 1/4 cup diced ripe banana, or enough to fill jar (approx. half of a small banana)
  • Raspberry-Vanilla:
  • 1 tablespoon raspberry preserves
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup raspberries

Preparation

Step 1

In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the milk, oats, yogurt, marmalade, chia seeds and vanilla. Cover and shake to combine. Stir in optional ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Yield: 1 serving.
