Russian Tea Cookies

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup FINELY chopped walnuts
  • Confectioners sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar. Stir in the vanilla.

Sift together and stir in: flour, salt and nuts.

Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again.

Bake 400 degrees 10 - 12 minutes
