Ingredients
- 1 2/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 lg. egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 c. pecan halves, toasted & broken
- into lg. pieces
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°. Sift together flour, baking powder, & salt. With mixer, cream butter & 1 ½ c. brown sugar on med. speed about 2 min. Add egg & vanilla. Add dry ingredients, & beat on low speed until combined. Drop by tsp. 2” apart. Bake until firm & barely golden, 10-12 min. Cool in pan 5 min., remove to wire rack. In saucepan, combine 1 c. brown sugar & cream. Bring to boil over mid. heat. Cook, stirring constantly for 2 min. Add powdered sugar & wisk until smooth. Add cream to thin. Add pecan pieces. Spoon ½ tsp. over each cookie.
