Ingredients
- 2 T butter
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 T confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 c red wine
- 1/4 c Triple sec or Cointreau
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- 6 whole peppercorns
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 c chopped pecans (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream or fresh fruit

Preparation
Step 1
In sm pan melt butter. Add sugars, wine, Cointreau or triple sec, lemon zest, peppercorns, cloves & cinnamon.
Bring to boil stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat & simmer until reduced by 1/3. Let cool somewhat. Strain before pouring over fruit or ice cream. Sprinkle pecans on top if desired.
