Ingredients
- 1 16 oz can tomato paste
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 small bunch Italian parsley
- Olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
In a 6 qt pot, put olive oil to cover the bottom. Heat and add garlic. When garlic is light brown, take off the burner and add paste. Stir, and then add sauce. Stir and add 3 cans of water. Use paste cans. Add parsley and bay leaves. Salt and pepper to taste. If after, sauce is bitter, add 1/4 tsp sugar and 1/4 tsp baking soda. Stir and bring to boil. Then simmer for about 1-1 1/2 hours. Add meatballs after 1/2 hour (once it has started to simmer).
May want to double.
