Buttercream Frosting

This simple frosting recipe can either be vanilla or chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs powdered sugar (for chocolate buttercream substitute part w/ sweetened cocoa)
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 T + 1 t vanilla extract
  • 8 oz butter softened

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl of electric mixer, mix butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and milk alternately, then vanilla mix on low until fluffy and smooth. This will frost a double layer cake.
