Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh, ripe, tart cherries - pitted
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- dash salt
- 2 TBS butter
- pastry for 9-inch lattice-top pie (top/bottom crust)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degreesF. Prepare pastry for 9-inch lattice-top pie; line 9-inch pie plate with another pastry.
Steam pitted cherries. Combine cherries with sugar, flour and salt. Turn out into pastry-lined pie plate. Dot with butter. Adjust lattice-top pastry. Seal pastry.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
