Nana's Shepherder's Bread for the Bread Machine

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 Tbsp margarine
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp vital wheat gluten

Preparation

Step 1

In bread machine pan, mix first four ingredients until margarine dissolves. Cool to 115 degrees and add yeast. Let proof 15 minutes and add flour and gluten.

**Use basic rapid light cycle. Let sit 10 minutes, then turn on machine for rest of proofing.
