Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1.5 cups butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp rum extract
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- pecans (optional)
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 4 Tbsp milk
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup confectioner sugar
- pecan halves
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together butter, sugar, flavorings, eggs, and pumpkin. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add pecans if desired. Drop by tespoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10-12 min. Crinkles should look brownish orange. They will be moist. Cool completely before frosting.
To make frosting, melt butter and add milk and brown sugar. Boil 2 minutes. When cool add confectioners sugar and frost cookies. Garnish with pecan half.
