Ingredients

  • 8 quarts tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 5 cups onion chopped
  • 4 yellow or green jalapeno peppers chopped
  • 4 Anaheim peppers peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 8 Tbl. salt
  • 3 1/2 Tbl sugar
  • 2 Tbl. MSG (accent)
  • 1 Tbl cumin
  • 1 red hot pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and simmer stirring occasionally until the consistency is as desired (3-5 hours). Process pints 28 min. and half pints for 20 minutes. Makes approx. 14 pints.
