Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until light. Stir in flour and baking powder to make a pliable cookie dough. Chill for 30 min., if necessary or shape immediately. To shape, divide dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion out to make a rope 24 inches long. Divide into 2-inch strips. Roll strips in a mixture of the 2 tsp. cinnamon and 2 tbsp. sugar. Twist into an "S" shape and place on cookie sheet. Repeat for all of the strands of dough. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 min. or until cookies feel firm but are not browned.
