Ingredients
- 1 c all purpose flour
- 3/4 c sugar
- 6 T baking cocoa, divided
- 2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/2 c 2% milk
- 2 T vegetable or canola oil
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1 c packed brown sugar
- 1 3/4 c hot water
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, optional

Preparation
Step 1
In med bowl combine flour, sugar, 2 T cocoa, baking powder & salt. Stir in milk, oil & vanilla until smooth. Spread in ungreased 9 in square baking pan. Combine brown sugar & remaining cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all; do not stir.
Bake at 350 for 35-40 min. Serve warm. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
