POLISH DUMPLINGS

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • Butter
  • Bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and grate potatoes. Add salt, pepper, flour and eggs. Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls into boiling water. Cook until clear. Melt butter in large skillet. Add bread crumbs and saute until brown. Add drained dumplings and coat with buttered crumbs.

Another variation is to fry chopped onions and bacon in skillet, then pour off bacon grease, add dumplings and brown slightly.
