Ingredients
- Graham Cracker Crust:
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp. cocoa
- 3 extra large eggs
- pinch of salt
- GARNISH;
- whipped cream
- chopped nuts
- chocolate curls
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare graham cracker crust by mixing ingredients. Pat into an 8 or 9 inch pie pan and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. To prepare filling, cream butter, sugar and cocoa for a minimum of 5 minutes. Scape bowl often. Add each egg separately and beat for a full 5 minutes after the addition of each egg. Scape bowl often. Pour into cool pie crust and refrigerate. Pipe whipped cream around edge and sprinkle with chopped nuts or chocolate curls. May serve refrigerated or frozen.
