Buttery Brown Sugar Dip With Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
  • 3 lbs. pears, cored and sliced
  • 3 lbs. apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 lbs. seedless green grapes

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until butter melts, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a serving dish, and, if desired, sprinkle with 1 tbsp. pecans. Serve warm with fruit.
Yield: 25 appetizer servings.
