  • 2 oz. fresh yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 6 1/2 cups flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm orange juice
  • 3 sticks marg
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup confec. sugar
  • 1 cup sifted cocoa
  • 2 Tbs coffee
  • vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 cup marg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • vanilla sugar
  • oil for smearing
  • 1 beaten egg for egg wash
  • 3 medium loaf pans
  • if you like a lot of filling and crumbs, just add more of the ingredients but not double the recipe



Step 1

Dissolve yeast with water. After it has become foamy combine with the rest of the ingred.(flour-eggs)in a mixer bowl. Use a dough hook to reach a smooth dough. Cover and rise for an hour.
Classic Choc. Filling: combine the 2 cups sugar-vanilla sugar.mix well
Streusel Topping:Mix by hand 1 stick marg-vanilla sugar to form crumbs.
Assembly:Preheat oven to 350. Grease loaf pans,divide the dough into three parts,/work with one section at a time.Roll out dough to the size of a cookie sheet and smear with oil. Spread 1/3 of the choc. filling over the dough. Roll up jelly roll style and pinch ends closed. Fold the roll in 1/2
and twist it 3 times. Transfer to a loaf pan. Brush with the beaten egg. Sprinkle the streusel over the entire roll. Do the same with the rest of the dough. Bake for 1 Hr.
** If making into buns. slice the roll and place it up in the greased cupcake pan Let rise for about 20 min. Egg wash it and sprinkle with crumb topping and make for 40-50 min. depending on how brown you like it. Cinnamon/Sugar Filling:
2 cups sugar
2 cups confec. sugar
8 tsp cinnamon
(there will be extra so freeze for future use)
