- 1 lb. raw walnuts
- 1 C white sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 T milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the nuts in a single later on a baking sheets, and roast 8 to 10 minutes.
Stir together the sugar, cinnamon, salt, and milk in a medium saucepan. Cook over medioum heat for 8 minutes (to soft ball stage, or 236 degrees) on a candy thermometer.
Remove and stir in vanilla immediately. Add walnjuts, and stir to coat well. Spoon onto waxed paper; separate with a fork.
Cool and store in air-tight containers.
