English Tea Cakes

Small balls with pecan pieces, covered in powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oleo, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Extra powdered sugar for rolling balls

Preparation

Step 1

Mix oleo, sugar and vanilla. Mix flour and salt and add into oleo mixture.
Add chopped nuts. Chill dough. Make 1" balls 2 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes. While still warm roll in powdered sugar, let cool and roll in powdered sugar again.
