Ingredients

  • 4 lb. roast, trimmed. Pikes Peak roast works well
  • 1/2 c. Soy Sauce
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 whole black peppercorns
  • 3/4 t. dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 t. thyme, dried
  • 1 t. garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Place trimmed roast in slow cooker. Combine all other ingredients and pour over roast. Add enough water to almost cover roast. Cover and cook on low heat 10-12 hours until meat is very tender. Remove meat and reserve broth. Shred meat with a fork (or slice), and use reserved broth for dipping. Serve on French rolls.
