  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. applesauce
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. quick cooking oats
  • chocolate chips

Step 1

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, soda and applesauce. Add dry ingredients. Mix. Bake 375 degrees for 9-10 minutes.
