Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup corn flakes, well crushed
- 1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 cup salted Spanish peanuts
Preparation
Step 1
Cream together brown and white sugars with shortening. Beat eggs, and add to creamed mixture along with the vanilla.
Stir together flour, baking powder and soda and combine with creamed mixture. Stir in corn flakes, oatmeal, and peanuts.
Roll into balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 48 cookies.
