Chicken salad, hot

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked, cubed chicken
  • 2 cups celery, diced
  • 2 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
  • 3 T. lemon juice
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 small grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup toasted almonds
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350*
Mix all ingredients except grated cheese and chips
Put salad into buttered 2 1/2 quart casserole.
Top with cheese, then chips.
Bake at 350* for 30 minutes
