Ingredients
- 1/4 c. room temperature butter (2 sticks)
- 1 + lb. confectioner's sugar
- 6 T light corn syrup
- Food coloring
- 1-1/2 t. peppermint extract
- Decorating Icing (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Blend butter, corn syrup, and peppermint.
2. Add sugar gradually, mixing with wooden spoon as long as possible, and finish by kneading.
3. Divide and color the mix. (Optional).
4. Roll 3/4" balls and place on wax paper.
5. Gently flatten with the bottom of a glass dusted with more confectioner's sugar.
6. Make icing flowers on top with a #27 star and a #2 round. (Optional. I very rarely do this).
7. Let patties dry 3 hours on wax paper, then on racks overnight. Can be less, but they'll be sticky
