  • 3 lb. whole frying chicken
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper



Step 1

Wash chicken and pat dry.
Sprinkle cavity with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
Place on aluminum foil and sprinkle with basil.
Wrap in aluminum foil.
Put in dutch oven.
Cover and bake at about 350 degrees for 4 hours or until tender.
