Angel Food Delight (1982 – Nell)

Ingredients

  • 1 large angel food cake
  • 1 – 8oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 1 T milk
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 2 packages dream whip

Preparation

Step 1

Have cream cheese at room temperature. Blend into cheese the powdered sugar and milk. Prepare dream whip. Fold dream whip into cheese mixture. Let set. Arrange ½” slices of angel food cake to cover bottom of a 9x13 dish. Cover cake slices with half the cream cheese whipped cream mix. Then, another layer of cake slices. Cover cake with rest of cream mix. Top with cherry pie filling and refrigerate (This can be made 1-2 days ahead and it stays nice and fluffy).
