Ingredients

  • 1 bottle fruity white wine
  • 1/2 c brandy
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 c superfine sugar
  • 1/4 c fresh lemon juice (from 2 lemons)
  • 1 golden delicious or granny smith apple, cored, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 bartlett pear, cored, halved and thinly sliced
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 can (12 oz) seltzer

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pitcher combine wine, brandy, lemon zest and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add remaining ingredients, except seltzer and ice cubes, and mix well.

Place pitcher to the refrigerator for 1-4 hours to allow flavors to meld.

Just before serving, add ice cubes and stir briskly to distribute fruit, then top off with seltzer.
