Ingredients

  • 8 cups sliced squash
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/3 cup salt
  • 2 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 T mustard seeds and tumeric
  • 1 t celery seed

Preparation

Step 1

Combine squash, onions and green pepper in bowl. Add 1/3 cup salt and water to cover. Stir lightly. Cover and set aside for 2 hours. Drain
Combine remaining ingredients in large pot. Bring to boil, add squash and onions and boil 3 minutes.
