Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake Pie

Chocolate chip cookie dough and cake baked in a pie with buttercream frosting. YUM!
Ingredients
- For chocolate chip cookie dough:
- 2 deep-dish pie crusts
- 1 batch chocolate chip cookie dough (recipe follows)
- 1 box cake mix (with ingredients listed on box to make cake)
- 1 batch buttercream frosting
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- Buttercream frosting:
- 1 c. butter, semi-softened
- 3 c. confectioner's sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 or 2 TBSP. whipping cream

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare chocolate chip cookie dough:
Beat butter, sugars and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Add one egg at a time; mix thoroughly.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Place cookie dough inside of the pie crust and using your fingers or spoon, spread it so that it evenly coats the bottom. (probably will need to use both pie crusts).
Mix your cake mix together according to the directions on the box. Once mixed up, divide between both pie crusts.
Place in oven and bake 35-45 minutes.
While baking mix together buttercream frosting.
Mix together butter and sugar (preferably with whisk attachment on stand mixer). Mix on low until well blended and then increase speed to medium and beat another 3 minutes.
Add vanilla and cream and beat on medium speed for 1 minute more, adding more cream if needed for spreading consistency.
Frost cookie-cake-pie when cooled.
