Grilled Salmon with Wasabi-Ginger Mayonnaise
- 1 lime
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 T wasabi paste; more to taste
- 2 t finely grated fresh ginger
- Salt and pepper
- Salmon filet
- Vegetable oil for grill
Finely grate the zest of the lime.
Combine 1 T of lime juice, lime zest, mayonnaise, wasabi paste, ginger and salt. Taste and add more wasabi paste if you’d like a zippier flavour!
Season the filets lightly with salt and pepper. Spoon about 2 T of the mayo mixture on the filet and refrigerate the rest.
When the grill is ready, oil the grill grate. Grill the salmon approximately 15 minutes.
Serve the salmon with a dollop of mayo and a lime wedge.
