PUMPKIN AND CREAM CHEESE SANDWICH COOKIES

These are awesome.. like Suzie's pumpkin cake.. but in a cookie form !!

Ingredients

• COOKIES:
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 tsp cinammon
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp cloves
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 cup fresh pumpkin
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ICING
• 8 OZ cream cheese, softened
• 5 tbsp soft butter
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

COOKIES:

Combine sugar and butter. Mix well. Add egg, vanilla and pumkin. Sift dry ingredients together and add to wet till moistened - don't overmix.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes - in tablespoons on cookie sheets.

ICING:

Combine all ingredients. Frost between cookies.
