Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (16-ounce) can pinto beans, undrained
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 large zucchini, coarsely chopped
- 2 red bell peppers, coarsely chopped
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
In 6-quart soup pot, brown beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes, or until no pink remains in beef; drain off excess liquid.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well, cover, and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer an additional 45 to 50 minutes, or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
